Behind the Lens
Amanda Sayeg is a Brazilian visual poet exploring the nuances of human nature, connection, and emotion through her captivating photography.
With a foundation in both architecture and film, her lens weaves a distinctive tapestry of structured lines and fluid narratives.
Photography, in Amanda's view, possesses a rare ability to capture the ephemeral—laughter, sorrow, beauty, and the intricate layers of the human experience. It stands out as one of the few mediums that can transcend temporal and cultural boundaries, revealing the beauty inherent in the human journey across diverse cultures.
The Process
A photograph without connection, presence, and soul is just an image, and my goal is to capture the essence of the moment and the people I am photographing.
Before each session, I set aside time for calls to get to know the people I will be working with. I also prioritize quality moments, ensuring that the entire process is an enjoyable and meaningful experience and that we are taking more than pictures from it.
